A new way for me to have a conversation with other model ship builders. This blog will contain descriptions of the steps and techniques I use to build my models as well as reviews of the kits and accessories I use.
In addition, I hope that others will comment, share their knowledge, post pictures of their own builds and help me become a better builder of model ships.
Russian radars are complex and crazy looking. The 1/700 Gold Medal Models Soviet Carrier set is fantastic. The Kiev had three critical radar set ups: Top sail, Head Set, and Top Steer.
In 1/700 scale you are talking about tiny, tiny parts and GMM does a great job of breaking down the assemblies. It took me three or four hours to build these. If you go slow, they will come out really well.
