A new way for me to have a conversation with other model ship builders. This blog will contain descriptions of the steps and techniques I use to build my models as well as reviews of the kits and accessories I use.
In addition, I hope that others will comment, share their knowledge, post pictures of their own builds and help me become a better builder of model ships.
The Clemenceau had a series of port holes and openings in her bow. The Heller kit does not have these openings. So I used a pin drill and a hobby knife to drill four holes below the flight deck and three in the bow.
I still need to install the piping on the bow. I tried to create that detail using 15-gauge wire, but it was too thick. I will try again with either a 7-or 8-gauge wire, which should work.
