Review of the L'Arsenal 100mm Mod. 53
The Clemenceau class was armed with 8 100mm Mod. 53 guns in an arrangement that was similar to the Forrestal class when they were first commissioned. The guns included in the Heller kit are almost toy-like and look nothing like the real thing. Fortunately, L'Arsenal makes resin replacements.
I ordered two of these sets (2 sets of 5). The details on the guns is excellent and look incredible when compared to the kit supplied parts. Each gun comes in two parts; the main turret and the barrel. Both clean up very well. You will need to increase the size of the holes on the Heller kit in order for them to fit.
A very cool product. Can't wait to paint these up.
