Building the Jeanne D'Arc's Island

While the hull was drying after being primed, I started on the island.  What a mess.

The island isn't a single piece or even two pieces.  Instead it's five pieces that have to be fitted together.  The fit is not ideal.  None of the pieces fit right and the tabs on the base piece do nothing.  When done I had huge gaps that have to be filled and sanded down.

Here is what the island looks like after filling the seems, but before sanding everything down.  Thankfully, the island is bare of detail so nothing will be lost.  However, this is will take a while complete.
