Sanding down the hull
Over the last few days, I have been sanding and filling the various gaps created when I attached the sponsons to hull. The main thing is to go slow. Fill. Sand. Fill. Sand. This way you can build up the putty in layers. I used various grits of sand paper during the process as well as sanding sticks for the small gaps.
This wasn't anything that anyone with basic modeling skills couldn't do themselves. However, I think it is important to know that there will be some large gaps that need to be filled when you build the Heller Clemenceau or the Foch kits.
