Finding the Perfect Match for French Navy Gray
Now to the painting...
The Heller kit recommends using Humbrol #64 for the hull. I have never used Humbrol enamels before and I feel more comfortable with Acrylics. So I began my search for a similar product. I found this great website for matching Humbrol Paints with other paints. See here
According, to the website a match for Humbrol #64 is Testors'1731 or aircraft gray. I ordered three bottles for the hull, Testors' gull gray for the decks, and Tamiya's panzer gray for the flight deck.
Time to start painting.
