Display Base for the Kiev

I purchased a Trumpeter display case for a 1/700 ship model to rest the Kiev on. Here is the first layer of water, which is made out of my go to medium acrylic modeling paste. I will add additional layers and will sculpt waves using additional layers. It will be painted with cheap acrylic paints and detailed with silicone.
