Getting the Aircraft Ready

In addition to getting the base coats down, I assembled the aircraft for my Kiev class. The Yaks had their wings folded up using a sprue cutter. The Yaks will be painted Tamiya blue for the upper surfaces and Model Master interior green for the undersides. Landing gear will be painted Tamiya sky, with details picked out with flat white. Canopies will be painted silver/black mixture.

The Ka-25 helos will be painted Tamiya sky gray and will receive photo etch landing gear and rotators from the Gold Medal Models Soviet aircraft carrier set.
