8 guns, 4 sponsons

Having been designed in the early 1950s, the Clemenceau class had a heavy gun armament on four sponsons on each side of the hull.   The layout is similar to the American Forrestal Class, or the British Audacious Class.  In the 1980s, four of these guns were replaced by short range surface to air missiles.

Sponsons came together fairly well.  The fit was OK, but they need some filling and sanding.  This will the focus of the next posting.

The kit's guns are OK.  However, I will replace them with L'Arsenal's resin Mod 1953 guns.
